This customer wanted the cost savings and efficiency that come with a hybrid heat pump water heater, so we replaced their standard electric unit with a new Rheem hybrid. We set the new heater in a water heater pan for added protection, installed a properly sized expansion tank, and added an automatic shutoff valve that closes the incoming water if a leak is ever detected. With these upgrades, the home now has a highly efficient water heater that uses far less electricity, offers advanced leak protection, and provides reliable hot water for years to come.
