We completed an attic weatherization project in Chattanooga to improve thermal performance and climate control within the home's upper levels. Our team installed GreenGuard XPS rigid foam insulation boards over existing doorways and access panels located along the sloped attic walls. This process involved custom-fitting the rigid foam panels to ensure a tight seal for better energy efficiency and moisture resistance. We also reinforced specific access points with plywood and managed the setup of a window air conditioning unit to maintain a stable environment for storage. These modifications significantly reduce heat transfer and drafts, making the attic space more functional for long-term use and equipment storage.
