We completed a targeted energy efficiency project in a Chattanooga home by installing GreenGuard XPS rigid foam insulation boards. Our team fitted these moisture-resistant panels into the access doorways and knee wall openings beneath the sloped ceilings to create a better thermal barrier for the attic storage areas. We also performed minor electrical updates, securing new wiring and outlets to properly service the space. To further improve climate control within the attic, we installed a window-mounted air conditioning unit and ensured it was properly seated within the existing frame. These upgrades work together to regulate temperatures and improve the overall energy performance of the home's upper level. The addition of functional hardware to the insulation panels allows for continued easy access to storage while maintaining a sealed environment.
