We completed an attic efficiency project in Chattanooga by sealing a doorway and managing climate control in the storage space. We installed GreenGuard XPS insulation board within the existing attic door frame to create a thermal barrier. This work focused on improving the temperature regulation of the sloped attic room and sealing off unfinished spaces. We utilized light green GreenGuard XPS foam panels, securing them within the door frames and mounting hardware for accessibility. Additionally, we installed a window-mounted air conditioning unit to provide consistent cooling for the stored items and equipment. These updates provide better insulation and airflow management for the upper level of the home.
