We completed an attic weatherization and insulation project in Chattanooga to improve the home's thermal envelope. Our team installed GreenGuard XPS rigid foam insulation boards to seal off access doorways within the sloped attic walls. This targeted approach focused on preventing air leaks from the conditioned living spaces into the storage areas. We utilized high-performance green foam insulation and custom-fitted plywood access panels to ensure a tight seal throughout the attic. The installation included a standard handle for easy entry and flush-mounted panels for a clean, functional finish. These upgrades significantly improve energy efficiency and help maintain more consistent temperatures in the upper level of the home.
