We completed the installation of a new egress window and safety well system for this residential basement in Lincoln. Our team focused on creating a code-compliant emergency exit while increasing the amount of natural light in the subterranean living area. We installed a white-framed double-hung window to match the existing interior aesthetic of the finished room. The project included a durable window well with textured masonry walls and a secure metal escape ladder for emergency access. This upgrade significantly improved the functionality of the basement family room, making the space feel more open and secure. The new installation ensures the area meets local building codes for habitable below-grade living spaces.
