We recently completed a project involving two door replacements—a quad unit and a double unit—with one requiring significant structural repair! The double unit door had led to major rot damage. To fix it properly, we had to: * Remove deck boards. * Remove the ledger board (deck framing) attached to the house. * Cut out and replace the rotted section of the rim joist. * Rebuild the structure before installing the stunning new door. It was worth the extra time and effort!
