Mock-up Installation Progress
An important step to each project is to make sure that the building envelope is watertight. One way to help facilitate that effort is to build a mock-up on-site with all stakeholders involved, including a waterproofing consultant. This is an important step to review with the installation teams the proper processes to employ when performing their work. Doing this prior to first walls going up is critical in the construction sequencing. We managed the exterior envelope installation for this new construction project in Asheville. Our team installed green ZIP System structural sheathing and applied matching flashing tape to ensure a weather-tight seal across all seams. We also handled the professional installation of several multi-pane Ply Gem windows and exterior door frames to secure the building envelope. To maximize moisture protection, we utilized Elevation S60 underlayment and integrated metal flashing along the base of the walls. Every window was carefully leveled, shimmed, and sealed with high-performance flashing tape and sealant to prevent air and water infiltration. These integrated systems provide a durable, energy-efficient foundation for the finished exterior of the home.
