Because Fortress' Kevlar reinforced carbon fiber can be parged over after installation, we were able to save costs on this historical restoration by permanently stabilizing the foundation of this large townhome in historical Davenport, IA. The remaining portions requiring repair are temporarily held in place by steel I-beams and the structure above will be shored up. This allows ACE to safely excavate from the exterior and demolish the failed portions of the foundation to install a new foundation below the massive structure. After completion of the new wall, all visible portions will be parged again to match the original mortar still intact on other portions of the building.
