Due to improper drainage. This egress well was allowing mud and water into the home through the well which was then entering the basement through the window. We excavated the exterior of the well and waterproofed it with our specially formulated, waterproofing, closed cell polyurethane foam. We then installed drainable rock and a leg of drain tile into the sump basin from the exterior to the interior sump basin of the home. This ensures any water that would have entered through the well before is directed into the sump basin, then discharged away from the home. We finished the project by replacing the window itself, acid washing and retuck pointing the interior of the well to make it look brand new again.
