Modified Bitumen Fabric Restoration – Kilgore, TX
All Star Roofing LLC completed a modified bitumen roof restoration project in Kilgore using a full fabric-reinforced coating system finished with a polyurethane-modified acrylic top coat. The existing modified bitumen roof was structurally sound but showed signs of aging and surface wear. After thorough cleaning and primer application, reinforcing fabric was embedded into the base coat across the roof surface, creating a fully sealed and reinforced waterproof membrane. The roof was completely sealed during the fabric embedment process before the top coat was applied. A polyurethane-modified acrylic top coat was then installed to provide enhanced reflectivity, UV protection, and improved durability. The top coat’s primary role is long-term surface protection and energy performance, while the waterproofing is achieved through the reinforced base system. This restoration extended the service life of the roof and eliminated the need for a costly replacement.
