Texas Department of Public Safety – Canton, TX | Modified Bitumen Roof Restoration
This project consisted of a commercial modified bitumen (mod-bit) roof restoration for the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) facility in Canton, Texas. The existing roof system showed signs of aging and weather-related wear but remained a strong candidate for restoration rather than full replacement. Our team implemented a roof restoration system designed specifically for modified bitumen roofs, addressing seam integrity, penetrations, and high-stress areas to ensure long-term waterproofing and performance. The system restored the roof’s protective surface while improving durability, reflectivity, and resistance to UV exposure and temperature extremes common in North Texas. By utilizing a restoration-based approach, DPS was able to extend the service life of the existing mod-bit roof, reduce future maintenance concerns, and avoid the cost and disruption of a full tear-off. This project highlights an effective solution for government and institutional modified bitumen roof restoration in Canton, TX, delivering long-term protection and performance.
