IM 1250 Plastic Septic Tank Replacement
Our team completed a 1250-gallon Infiltrator IM-Series plastic septic tank replacement, ensuring optimal system performance, property protection, and long-term sanitation. A properly functioning septic tank prevents backups, supports reliable wastewater treatment, and extends the life of your entire septic system. Scope of Work: • Pumping, Collapsing & Filling: Pumped out and decommissioned the existing septic tank by collapsing and filling it in accordance with code requirements. • Excavation: Excavated the new tank location to the correct grade based on the elevation of the building drain. • Tank Installation: Installed a 1250-gallon Infiltrator plastic tank on a 4-inch CA-7 stone base with a 24-inch riser to grade (±3 inches) for easy maintenance access. • Inlet Connection: Connected the building drain to the tank inlet using 4-inch Schedule 40 PVC pipe with a two-way cleanout and shear-proof Fernco fitting to adapt to the existing line. • Outlet Connection: Installed 4-inch Schedule 40 PVC outlet piping from the tank to the septic field. (Proper grade and pitch confirmed; any adjustments beyond scope would require additional work.) • Inspection: Coordinated and passed inspection with the governing Health Department to verify code compliance. • Backfill & Finish: Backfilled the excavation with native soils, leaving a slight mound for natural settling. • Drain Line Replacement: Installed new 4-inch PVC piping connecting the new tank to existing field lines for a complete, watertight system. This installation provides a modern, efficient, and corrosion-resistant septic solution built for long-term reliability and service life.
