GPR Concrete Scanning and Subsurface Imaging in University, Mississippi
October 2026
We completed comprehensive concrete scanning and subsurface imaging for a mechanical project at the University of Mississippi. Our team utilized ground penetrating radar technology to locate structural reinforcements and utility conduits within concrete slabs and walls. This proactive mapping allowed for the safe installation of plumbing and framing systems without compromising the structural integrity of the facility. Using high-frequency GPR equipment, we provided real-time data and depth measurements to identify rebar and embedded pipes. We applied precise hand-drawn markings directly to the concrete surfaces to guide core drilling and fastener placement. These scans ensured that all penetrations for PVC piping and mechanical supports avoided critical subsurface obstructions.
