Helping the plumbers and residential customers

Called out to this residential project to assist some plumbers in determining where the water service line was located. Using a traceable fresh-water locate tape we inserted it into the line. Only to discover a 90 degree turn 3ft from the meter, we found a buried control valve box (irrigation) and then discovered that the line had a 90 degree elbow turning it downwards. Six inches deeper and we found the main service line feeding the property. Typically, these projects go pretty smooth - but occasionally you'll stumble into a scenario like this where it calls for even the Locate Company to pick up a shovel and help figure things out.
