We completed a comprehensive mechanical system upgrade for this home in Portage, including the installation of a new Aprilaire dehumidifier. Our team installed a high-efficiency Carrier furnace and integrated an Aprilaire whole-home humidifier into the galvanized ductwork. We also added a ductless mini-split system to provide dedicated climate control for the garage workspace. The project involved precise PVC venting and the installation of copper plumbing lines for a new water heater. We mounted the outdoor condenser unit to the exterior vinyl siding and positioned the indoor head unit above the epoxy-finished garage floor. This multi-system approach improved overall indoor air quality while expanding the home's usable conditioned space.
