We constructed a custom timber-frame patio cover at the rear of this single-story residence. Our team installed a heavy-duty gabled roof structure over the existing concrete slab to create a functional outdoor living area. The project involved framing the structure with thick wooden posts and rafters to ensure long-term stability. We used dark-stained timber and integrated a decorative black metal plate at the gable peak for a polished aesthetic. The roof was finished with a durable black standing seam metal surface over Maxfelt underlayment, providing superior weather protection. This new vaulted space offers a protected area for outdoor furniture and year-round use.
