Emergency service water mitigation services on a residential home in Jeffersonville, IN after a tornado came through the town. The tornado caused some damage to his roof from shingles being torn off during the storm. This caused water damage in the attic, as well as some water damage spots in several bedrooms. After the homeowner had the roof temporarily tarped, we were able to come onsite to assess the damages to the affected areas. We used moisture meters to check the moisture levels particularly in the attic and the ceiling. When the meters showed significant levels of moisture damage, the screen appeared dark purple and blue. After going through our process, we quickly got to work to set up our drying equipment, but first, we had to remove the ceiling in portions of the house to create a containment in which to dry more effectively. After allowing the home more days to dry, we will be ready to move on to the repairs portion!
