Emergency service water damage in a residential home in Scottsburg, IN. We received a call from our emergency service hotline from our customers explaining they had a water damage from a pipe leak in the kitchen. The leak caused the water to flood both the upstairs and downstairs and even caused water to come down the walls in the home. For our estimate appointment, we wanted to be sure to pinpoint exactly where the water had damaged each portion of the home, so in order to do this, our estimator used thermal cameras and moisture meters to show which areas had high counts of moisture. After the estimate appointment, we were able to send our crew that same day to start the dry out portion by removing the affected carpet, setting air movers and dehumidifiers, and applying antimicrobial solutions to prevent the growth/spread of mold spores in the midst of the mitigation process.
