Delaminated Carpet Seam Repair
Carpet delamination occurs when the primary and secondary backings separate. This happens when the latex bond weakens or deteriorates. Common causes include urine deposits left in the backing or the improper use of solvents on the carpet. Additionally, moisture from spills or water intrusion can weaken this bond if not dried promptly. We re-secured the carpet layers using a latex bonding agent, which is often applied to seal the carpet edge before creating a seam. After allowing it to cure, we returned another day to re-stretch part of the carpet and reconstruct the seam.
