Repair of Buckling, Commercial Glue-down Carpet
This church entrance had severe buckling near the entry, creating a major trip hazard. Since it was a glue-down carpet, removing the bubbles was a little more complicated. We had to cut open this carpet, test the substrate, neutralize the pH level, and reapply adhesive, giving it the proper open time before relaying and compressing the carpet. Because of the excess, we also had to trim some rows in a few areas and seal the edges.
