We completed a solar and battery upgrade for a residence in Westlake Village, California. The project started with the removal and reinstallation of the home’s existing solar system because the roof was older and had existing leak issues. Our crew worked in coordination with the roofing contractor to make sure the roof repairs and sealing were completed properly before the solar system was reinstalled. During the project, we carefully handled the terracotta roof tiles and coordinated the solar layout, mounting points, and flashing details with the roofing work so the homeowner could have a properly sealed, leak-free roof backed for the long term. We also replaced the old non-working inverter with updated equipment to restore the solar system’s operation and improve reliability. After the solar system was brought back online, our crew returned to install 27 kWh of Tesla Powerwall 3 battery storage, giving the homeowners strong backup power capability and better control over their energy use. The final result is a clean, grid-tied solar and battery system with improved reliability, real-time monitoring, outage protection, and long-term roof protection designed to help keep the homeowner leak-free for 25 years.
