GSHA Services, LTD completed a 100-amp electrical panel upgrade and installed a dedicated NEMA 14-50R outlet for EV charging for a homeowner in Marengo, IL. Our licensed electricians replaced the outdated, overcrowded panel with a new 100-amp load center, transferred and labeled every circuit, installed new breakers, and ran 1/2 inch EMT conduit with #12 AWG wiring for the added circuits. For the electric vehicle, we installed a 50-amp two-pole breaker and ran 3/4 inch EMT conduit with #6 AWG copper conductors to a new NEMA 14-50R receptacle in the garage, giving the homeowner a safe, code-compliant Level 2 charging connection without a hard-wired charger.
