GSHA Services, LTD performed an air conditioning service call at a home on Southport Drive in Island Lake, IL ahead of the cooling season. Our HVAC technician inspected the outdoor condensing unit, which had years of grass, dirt and debris packed into the coil fins and a damaged coil guard, then checked the furnace, evaporator coil, blower and the gas water heater in the utility room. We tested the capacitor, contactor and compressor amp draw, cleaned the condenser coil, straightened the accessible fins, verified refrigerant pressures and gave the homeowner a written assessment of the aging system with honest repair and replacement options. A low-cost AC service visit before summer catches problems early and helps an older unit run as efficiently as possible. GSHA Services provides air conditioning repair, AC tune-ups and maintenance, furnace repair, water heater replacement and new high-efficiency HVAC installation in Island Lake, Wauconda, Lakemoor, Volo, Cary, Fox River Grove, McHenry and throughout Lake County and McHenry County, Illinois.
