We completed a comprehensive installation of an 18kW Generac home standby generator for this residence in Carpentersville. Our team managed the entire project from initial specifications to final testing, including the placement of the unit on a stable pad and integration with the home's primary energy sources. We installed a dedicated service disconnect and a Siemens load center to ensure the electrical system safely manages backup power during utility outages. To support reliable operation, we ran rigid metal conduit for the electrical wiring and extended the iron gas piping with professional-grade shut-off valves. We also incorporated a surge protection device and a battery heater to ensure the system remains functional during extreme winter temperatures. This installation provides the homeowners with a dependable, automated power solution that protects critical circuits and appliances.
