GSHA Services, LTD installed a KOHLER 26RCA air-cooled whole-house standby generator with a KOHLER RXT-JFNC-200ASE 200-amp automatic transfer switch at a home on Dunrovin Drive in Barrington, IL. Our licensed electricians surveyed the existing service panel, set the generator on a level pad next to the air conditioning condensers, ran 1-1/4 inch EMT conduit with new service conductors back to the meter, installed and wired the whole-house transfer switch, and ran a new natural gas line with a dedicated regulator and shutoff to the unit. The generator was started, load-tested and programmed for weekly self-exercise, and the customer was set up on KOHLER remote monitoring. Permits and inspection were handled by us. When the power goes out, the generator starts automatically and runs the entire home including the furnace, air conditioning, sump pump and well pump. GSHA Services is an authorized KOHLER and Generac generator dealer offering standby generator installation, annual maintenance and repair, plus electrical, HVAC and plumbing services in Barrington, North Barrington, South Barrington, Lake Barrington, Inverness, Deer Park, Palatine and throughout Lake County and Cook County, Illinois.
