GSHA Services, LTD responded to a generator service call at a home on Heather Drive in Algonquin, IL. The homeowner's Kohler home standby generator was showing a fault on the controller and had failed its weekly exercise. Our factory-trained generator technician opened the control compartment, read the fault history from the Kohler RDC2 controller, tested the battery, charger and control board, checked the wiring harness and sensors, and inspected the automatic transfer switch. The fault was cleared, the failed component was corrected, and the generator was test-run under load to confirm proper voltage, frequency and transfer back to utility power.
