GSHA Services, LTD replaced the air conditioning system at a home on Little Bend Road in Barrington, IL with a new Lennox Elite EL18KCV two-stage condenser and a matched Lennox CK40CT indoor coil, controlled by a Lennox iComfort smart thermostat. Our installers recovered the old refrigerant, removed the failed condenser, set the new unit on a level pad, brazed and vacuum-tested the line set to confirm a leak-free system, installed the new evaporator coil on the furnace plenum, ran a new condensate drain, reconnected the electrical whip and disconnect, then weighed in the charge and verified superheat, subcooling and the supply-to-return temperature split before we finished. The iComfort thermostat was set up and paired to the homeowner phone. A two-stage EL18KCV runs most of the time on low stage, which is quieter, removes far more humidity and cuts summer electric bills compared with a single-stage unit.
