GSHA Services, LTD installed a KOHLER 26RCA whole-house standby generator with a KOHLER RXT-JFNC-200ASE 200-amp automatic transfer switch at a home on Stonegate Road in Cary, IL. Our licensed electricians ran 1-1/4 inch EMT conduit and new service conductors the length of the basement, drilled and supported every run through the floor joists to code, brought the feeders out to the generator pad, and installed the whole-house transfer switch beside the existing service panel. Every termination was torqued to spec and labeled, the natural gas line was run and pressure tested, and the generator was started, load tested and set on a weekly exercise schedule before we walked the homeowner through the KOHLER monitoring app. Permits and inspection were handled by us. When ComEd power drops, the system transfers automatically within seconds and runs the whole house including the furnace, sump pump and refrigerator. GSHA Services is an authorized KOHLER and Generac generator dealer providing standby generator installation, annual maintenance and repair, plus electrical, HVAC and plumbing services in Cary, Fox River Grove, Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Barrington and throughout McHenry County, Illinois.
