GSHA Services, LTD replaced a failed gas water heater at a home on Oak Street in Des Plaines, IL with a new Rheem Performance XG40T06EC36U1 40-gallon natural gas water heater. The call started as a water heater diagnostic: the old tank had a corroded, sooted burner assembly and a leaking base, so our licensed plumber recommended same-day replacement rather than a costly repair. We drained and removed the old unit, set the new Rheem tank, made new water and gas connections, reconnected the flue vent, filled and purged the system, and lit and tested the burner to confirm proper flame and safe operation. While on site we also performed a full air conditioner maintenance tune-up for the home. Rheem Performance gas water heaters offer reliable hot water, a 40,000 BTU burner and a 6-year tank warranty. GSHA Services provides water heater installation, plumbing repair and HVAC maintenance in Des Plaines, Park Ridge, Mount Prospect, Niles, Glenview and throughout Cook County, Illinois.
