GSHA Services, LTD installed a Tesla Powerwall 3 home battery with a Tesla Backup Gateway 3 at a home on North Jarvis Court in Palatine, IL. Our certified electricians mounted the Powerwall 3 on the exterior brick wall beside the meter, installed the Backup Gateway 3 for automatic islanding from the ComEd grid, ran 1 inch EMT conduit with new service conductors, landed the connections in the main service panel, and commissioned the system on site. We completed the Tesla backup test, configured grid, solar and home settings, connected the system to Wi-Fi and set the homeowner up in the Tesla app to monitor charge level and backup history. Permits and inspection were included. A Powerwall 3 stores up to 13.5 kWh and switches over in milliseconds, keeping the furnace, sump pump, refrigerator, internet and lights running through outages while lowering energy costs.
