Culvers Marquise Sign Post
This is a unique structure that has a lot of visibility. It is the sign post for the largest Culvers in the world, located in Edgerton Wisconsin next to I-90/39. The sign post had a lot of failing paint, small amounts of rust and plenty of moss growing on it. We first scraped the entire post and then sprayed on a mold killing product before power washing to remove the rest of the contaminants and dirt. It was pretty dirty since it is next to the freeway. Once the post dried we rolled on one even coat of Marco Epoxy 646 as a primer and to hold back any rust that was starting to form. Then we brushed and rolled on two even coats of the Sher-Loxane 800 which is a versatile, high-performance epoxy siloxane hybrid that combines the properties of both a high-performance epoxy and a polyurethane. The outcome was a a shiny new looking and extremely durable sign post. The goal of the customer was to not have to repaint the post for 8 to 10 years. That is why we went hi end with the industrial epoxy and Sher-Loxane 800.
