In Huntsville, AL, we helped a client turn a temporary apartment into a more comfortable, functional space without overspending. The biggest issue was intense sun coming through the west-facing windows, so they needed a solution that would improve comfort right away while still making sense for a short-term home. For this project, we installed 4 roller shades for $3,550. We used 1% solar screens in the living room to reduce glare and harsh sunlight, and room-darkening roller shades in the bedroom for better privacy and sleep. We also included lightguards to help reduce light leakage. The result was a clean, practical upgrade that delivered better light control, more privacy, and a more comfortable living space from day one.
