This project involves replacing a large flat roof system on a property located in Downtown Ocala. The existing roof is in poor condition and the homeowner is exploring a full replacement using a TPO roofing system designed specifically for flat and low slope applications. Flat roofing systems work differently than shingle roofs because they rely on controlled drainage and sealed membrane systems to move water efficiently. TPO roofing remains a common choice for commercial and residential flat roofs because it provides strong waterproofing performance along with heat reflective properties. The roof includes approximately 44 squares of roofing area along with a residential AC unit mounted directly on the roof surface. During inspection it was determined that the unit would not need to be removed for the reroof process.
