Hail damaged reroof in Gainesville, FL

December 2025

This project began with an eight year old roof where the homeowner was approached by multiple door knockers claiming hail damage. With no neighboring roofs being replaced, the homeowner wanted an honest evaluation rather than pressure. After a full inspection, storm related damage was confirmed, and a complete reroof was selected to restore long term protection and avoid future issues. The new roofing system uses Owens Corning Duration shingles in Teak, covering 39 squares. Teak is a warm architectural color that blends naturally with many exterior finishes while maintaining a clean, consistent look across larger roof surfaces. The system is finished with brown drip edge, brown boots, brown vents, and matching paint to keep every component uniform and properly sealed. A full tear off allowed the decking to be inspected and prepared before installing modern underlayment and shingles engineered for wind resistance and durability. Duration shingles feature reinforced fastening zones designed to hold up in Florida’s storms, making them a strong choice even on roofs that are replaced earlier than expected due to hail damage. The completed system delivers reliable protection, improved appearance, and peace of mind moving forward. https://maps.app.goo.gl/QHhf84HaJVJcpeiy7
