Metal Roof on New Construction in Gainesville, FL
This project is a new construction metal roof installation using 26 gauge Ultra Rib painted panels in County Bronze. New construction roofing allows the roof system to be planned from the ground up, including decisions about framing support, fastening methods, and long term roof performance. One topic discussed during planning was the difference between installing the metal roof with or without purlins. Purlins are horizontal framing members installed beneath the metal panels to create spacing and additional support between the roof deck and roofing system. Some homeowners and builders choose purlins to help with ventilation or installation preferences, while others install the metal panels directly to the deck depending on the structure and budget goals. This roof requires a very large combination of panel lengths and roof sections, totaling well over 100 custom cut panels across many different sizes. Larger and more complex metal layouts require careful planning so each section lines up correctly during installation. The project also includes four #3 pipe boots integrated into the roofing system for proper sealing around roof penetrations. Once completed, the County Bronze Ultra Rib roof will provide a durable metal roofing system with a clean finished appearance designed for long term performance. https://maps.app.goo.gl/QHhf84HaJVJcpeiy7
