Brehm Roofing & Restoration recently completed a metal roof replacement in Gainesville, FL, where our team installed a 26-gauge SMP painted ribbed metal roof from Premier Metals. This roofing system combines durability with a clean, modern appearance and is designed to stand up to Florida’s harsh UV exposure and frequent storm activity. For the underlayment, we used high-temp peel and stick, a premium self-adhering water barrier ideal for metal roofs, offering superior protection in high-heat environments. An additional element of this project included curb mounting two skylights, which required precise flashing and integration with the metal system to ensure long-term watertight performance. Once the roof was complete, the next phase—gutter installation—was turned over to our gutter team to complete the full water management system.
