Understanding the difference between ridge and hip roof structures is critical when evaluating how a roof performs under stress. This design directly impacts how water sheds, how wind moves across the surface, and how well the roof maintains structural integrity over time. In Florida, this distinction matters even more. For this project, Brehm Roofing & Restoration installed a 49 square Owens Corning Duration system in Antique Silver, ensuring clean transitions at all ridge and hip lines. The white drip edge provides a sharp perimeter finish, while black boots, vents, and paint create contrast and protect key penetrations.
