New Evergreen Mist Roof Replacement in Reddick, FL

March 2026

Roof trim plays a critical role in how a roofing system performs over time, yet it is often overlooked. Components like drip edge and fascia trim are designed to control how water leaves the roof, preventing it from reaching vulnerable areas like the decking or soffit. In Florida, where heavy rain is common, properly installed trim helps reduce the risk of rot, mold, and structural damage caused by consistent water exposure. Drip edge, in particular, creates a clean transition at the roof’s edge while directing water into the gutter system. Without it, water can wick back under the shingles and compromise the roof deck. When combined with proper ventilation and sealed penetrations such as boots and vents, the system works as a whole to manage both water and airflow effectively. Material consistency, including shingle color and trim selection, also contributes to long-term durability and performance. For this project, a 46-square roofing system using OC Duration shingles in Evergreen Mist was installed across both the main roof (35 squares) and garage (11 squares). White drip edge was used to protect all roof edges, while black boots, vents, and paint provide sealed penetrations and contrast. The system was built to ensure proper water management and airflow across both structures. https://maps.app.goo.gl/QHhf84HaJVJcpeiy7
