New Reroof in Gilchrist, The Villages, FL
October 2026
This homeowner in the Village of Gilchrist had a 13-year-old shingle roof and wanted to stay with shingles. No storm damage and no insurance claim. We replaced the full roof with Owens Corning Duration shingles in Estate Gray, about 49 squares, plus 4 bundles of Owens Corning starter and 12 bundles of ProEdge hip and ridge. Peel and stick underlayment went on the slope with the solar water panels, two layers of synthetic underlayment covered the rest, and the shingles went down with stainless steel nails. New white drip edge went on with the full reroof. The home sits on Amherst Way near the Gilchrist Recreation Center, a short drive from Brownwood Paddock Square, with a pond and golf course view out back.
