Ocala, FL Roofing Contractor
Brehm Roofing & Restoration recently completed a roof replacement in Ocala, FL for a homeowner in the process of purchasing a new home. During tear-off, we discovered an existing peel and stick underlayment that required careful removal and preparation in order to comply with Florida Building Code. To ensure the deck renailing was done properly, our team chalked lines across the plywood seams, allowing for precise placement of 8D nails at the required intervals. Once the deck was secured, we installed double synthetic underlayment across the pitched sections of the roof. For the shingle system, the homeowner chose CertainTeed Landmark shingles, a laminated architectural shingle featuring dual-layer construction, Class A fire rating, algae resistance, and a 110 MPH wind warranty (upgradeable to 130 MPH with enhanced installation). The flat roof portion of the property was finished with CertainTeed Flintastic SA Base and Cap Sheets, a two-ply self-adhered system that offers superior waterproofing and heat resistance—ideal for Florida’s low-slope roofs. This project is a great example of how Brehm Roofing & Restoration ensures compliance with local codes while delivering a clean, high-performance roof across both steep and flat roof systems. 📍 https://maps.app.goo.gl/tnGhv9XdykTLhCWD9
