When a project includes both a reroof and a brand-new addition, coordination becomes just as important as craftsmanship. Tying a new roof system into an existing structure requires careful layout, matching materials, and consistent fastening patterns to ensure the finished product performs as one continuous system. In Florida, where heavy rain and high winds are routine, transitions between old and new rooflines must be handled precisely. Flashing details, underlayment integration, and alignment of shingle courses all play a role in preventing future leaks. Working in unison with a local builder ensures framing, decking, and roofing stages move together efficiently without compromising quality. This project covered approximately 76 squares using Owens Corning Duration shingles in Teak. Black drip edge, boots, vents, and paint details were installed to create a clean, cohesive finish across both the reroof portion and the new addition.
