Brehm Roofing & Restoration recently completed a roof replacement in Gainesville, FL that included both sloped and low-sloped roofing sections. Our team of experienced roofers installed Owens Corning Oakridge shingles in Desert Tan on the pitched portion of the roof, providing a clean, warm finish with long-lasting protection. Oakridge shingles are designed for dependable performance and feature a laminated construction for added dimension and wind resistance. For the low-sloped section, our team installed a flat roofing system that required additional planning and expertise. We built a custom tapered ISO system, which is an insulated roofing assembly designed to create slope where none exists—helping to redirect water toward designated drainage points. This was secured with plates and screws before installing a two-ply modified bitumen system using CertainTeed’s Flintastic SA products. This combination provides excellent waterproofing, especially in flat roof areas prone to ponding water.
