Storm Damage Roofing in Gainesville, Florida
Brehm Roofing & Restoration recently completed a roof replacement project that included a solar panel detach and reset for a homeowner who was approved for an insurance-funded roof due to storm damage from the hurricanes that impacted the area last fall. Our team removed the existing solar panels prior to installation and coordinated the reset after the new roof system was in place. The roof consisted of two systems—Owens Corning Duration shingles on the sloped portion and CertainTeed Flintastic SA on the flat roof section. The homeowner selected Owens Corning Duration shingles for their proven performance, featuring SureNail® Technology and a 130 MPH wind resistance rating, ideal for Florida’s storm-prone climate. For the flat roof, our team used the Flintastic two-ply modified bitumen system from CertainTeed, offering a durable and watertight finish that holds up well under ponding water. Our experienced roofers handled every component of the job—from the solar coordination to the steep and low-slope details—with excellent craftsmanship and care. 📍 https://maps.app.goo.gl/QHhf84HaJVJcpeiy7
