We completed a comprehensive roof replacement for this waterfront property in White Stone, VA. Our team stripped the original roofing down to the decking to inspect for structural integrity, replaced damaged oriented strand board (OSB) sheathing where necessary, and installed synthetic underlayment to provide a reliable secondary moisture barrier. We focused on high-performance ventilation and flashing to ensure long-term durability against the coastal environment. For the finish, we installed Owens Corning Duration architectural shingles in the Driftwood color. These shingles were selected for their wind resistance and dimensional appeal, which perfectly complements the home's white board-and-batten exterior. We also modernized the roof by upgrading the attic ventilation system and installing new metal flashing around the chimney to ensure a watertight seal for years to come. This upgrade has significantly improved the home's curb appeal and weather protection while enhancing its energy efficiency through better airflow management.
