Capitol Iron Works recently completed the fabrication and installation of custom exterior steel handrails for a residential project in Bethesda, MD. This project focused on improving the safety and accessibility of the home's entrance while adding a clean, modern architectural touch. A minimalist, contemporary handrail design that complements the home's exterior stone and landscaping. We utilized steel square bars for the posts to ensure maximum stability and longevity against the elements. The handrails feature a smooth, graspable design, providing a secure grip that meets functional safety standards. Offering a classic yet updated look that maintains clear visibility of the entryway. The rails are finished with a coating of conventional black paint to protect the steel from moisture and temperature shifts. The client needed to enhance the safety of their outdoor steps with a durable solution that wouldn't detract from the home's aesthetic. We replaced standard or aging railings with a custom-fabricated steel system that provides a firm "peace of mind" for everyone entering the property.
