For this Bethesda residence, Capitol Iron Works designed and fabricated a completely custom, seamless iron railing to meet a unique architectural request. Unlike standard modular systems, this railing was fabricated as a single, solid piece for superior structural integrity and a clean, high-end aesthetic. To preserve the home’s exterior and accommodate the customer's special request, we utilized a core-drilled installation method. By drilling directly into the masonry, the railing is entirely freestanding and requires no wall attachments, protecting the house siding while providing rock-solid stability. The project was finished in a premium Black Matte Powder Coating, offering a modern, non-reflective look that is significantly more durable and scratch-resistant than conventional paint.
