We performed a targeted insulation upgrade in a residential attic to enhance the home’s thermal envelope. Our team installed GreenGuard XPS insulation boards across a storage doorway and along sloped interior walls to prevent air leakage and heat transfer between living spaces. We focused on creating a tight seal within the existing door frame while maintaining access to necessary hardware. For this project, we used high-performance rigid foam panels fitted precisely around trim and electrical components. These improvements help stabilize temperatures in the attic storage area and support the efficiency of the existing window-mounted air conditioning unit. The result is a more controlled environment for stored items and reduced energy loss through the upper levels of the home.
