We completed a comprehensive attic insulation and air sealing project for a home in Castle Shannon. Our team removed old, debris-laden insulation and addressed air leaks by applying spray foam sealant around electrical penetrations and joist bays. We also installed rigid foam boards and baffles to ensure proper ventilation and thermal performance throughout the space. To achieve the desired R-value, we blew in a thick layer of loose-fill cellulose insulation across the entire attic floor. We also constructed a wooden catwalk to provide safe access without compromising the new insulation layer. These improvements will help maintain consistent indoor temperatures and significantly reduce energy costs for this residence.
