We completed a comprehensive energy efficiency project in this Pittsburgh residence (15216), focusing on the attic and basement rim joists. Our team performed extensive air sealing by applying ZypFoam to electrical penetrations, top plates, and structural gaps to prevent air leakage. We also addressed the basement's thermal envelope by installing SilverGlo rigid foam board insulation and sealing the perimeter. To achieve optimal thermal performance, we installed rigid foam baffles for ventilation and blew in a thick layer of TruSoft cellulose insulation throughout the attic space. These upgrades significantly improved the home's climate control and overall energy durability.
